“If you want to be the last man standing, you’ve got to live your life like you play the game.” -Seven Story Drop, from the song “Last Man Standing”, on their album ‘GRAVITY’

Seven Story Drop has become one of the premier headlining acts from Dallas, TX since the release of their debut album 'Gravity' in 2004. SSD has shared the stage with acts like Journey, 38 Special, Seven Mary Three, Stroke 9, Sponge, Zac Maloy (formerly of The Nixons), and Edgewater. SSD was feautured numerous times on Dallas' rock station 97.1 FM "The Eagle" by radio DJ Robert Miguel in 2004. The band received some limited airplay, did interviews, played for radio sponsored events, and was well on the way to building a great relationship with 97.1 FM before Clear Channel cut the station and changed formats.

Seven Story Drop currently has licensing agreements with 'Hope's Voice', and 'Last Man Standing'. Hope's Voice is a national HIV and AIDS organization out of San Francisco committed to promoting the education and prevention of HIV and AIDS to young adults. MTV has agreed to pick up and air the Hope's Voice public service announcement with SSD's music, and will begin airing it in 2006. Last Man Standing is a motocross, reality TV show on the Speed Channel. The show picked up SSD's song "Last Man Standing" for their theme song.

SSD can be described as a power rock machine that is made up of bands such as Fuel, Dark New Day, Nickelback, Filter, Saliva, and Oleander with the influences of Metallica, Aerosmith, Ozzy, Van Halen, Oasis, Sevendust, and Fuel rolled into one album.

SSD was named one of Dallas’ “Top 10 Bands” by Harder Beat Magazine in 2001, “..1 Band in Dallas” by Barstar.com in 2002, and was nominated for “Rock Band of the Year”, “Rock Album of the Year", and “Acoustic Performance of the Year” at the 2004 Dallas Local Music Awards.
